when you learn the truth
nothing remains frozen
strawberries burst out
over yellow chiffon cake
leaking out eternal secrets
to naïve young men and women
who, seeing the eternal

nothing remains frozen
strawberries burst out
over yellow chiffon cake
leaking out eternal secrets
to naïve young men and women
who, seeing the eternal
in their curled palms
dance to boogie woogie music
until the sun rises
